Medical Assistant – Cardiovascular Interventions

Our cardiology office is seeking a full‑time Medical Assistant who delivers exceptional patient care and provides excellent service to all visitors. You will need outstanding customer service skills, a professional demeanor, and a team‑oriented approach. You must also be able to multitask while maintaining high levels of organization and professionalism at all times. Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required.

• Take and/or obtain vital signs
• Perform EKGs
• Set up charts in EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
• Holter and event monitors
• Prepare and organize exam rooms
• Stock and maintain rooms with adequate supplies
• Check patient medical records for pertinent data
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms
• Respond to patient calls
• Assist with exams, tests, and special procedures as directed
• Schedule appointments
• Set up for procedures
• Assist providers with patient exams and procedures
• Callback
• Prescription refills
• Inspect exam rooms for cleanliness and equipment condition

• At least 1 year of experience in cardiac care
• MA certification from an accredited school
• X‑Ray Technician with BMO certificate (preferred, not required)
• EMR experience required
• Well‑organized and detail‑oriented, applying sound judgment and decision‑making
• Team‑player attitude and willingness to make active contributions to the team
• EMD experience preferred but not required
• Strong computer and typing skills, including Word and Excel
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of regulations that govern medical offices, including HIPAA and OSHA
