Job Functions- Experience in medical billing with Medicare/Medicaid, managed care in a hospital or doctor’s office setting.
- Responsible for managing the administrative responsibilities of billing insurance to ensure the client’s procedures are paid for by their insurance company.
- Act as the liaison between the client, client’s family, insurance company, utilization review and other staff when necessary.
- Verify insurance, handle self‑pay client accounts, and accurately prepare Medicaid, Medicare, Managed Care, and third‑party billing on a weekly basis.
- Handle all claim rejections in the clearinghouse to ensure billing is captured and sent out in a timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining daily census and in claim deletions/corrections as needed.
- Complete all functions while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhering to agency policies and procedures.
- Level II background clearance – all Aspire Health Partners internships and careers require Level II clearance;
Aspire covers fingerprinting costs. - Acceptable motor‑vehicle registration and driver’s license record in accordance with the under‑insurance guidelines set by the Aspire insurance company.
- At least two years of experience in medical billing or an AA degree.
