Job SummaryThe Regional Human Resources Manager provides direct support to their assigned Regions’ schools with a primary focus on employee relations, staffing, employee engagement, and compensation matters. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, the Regional Human Resources Manager will serve as the primary People Services contact in addressing the unique needs of schools within the assigned regions as well as Regional Directors, which may vary by district requirements.
The Regional Human Resources Manager will be well‑versed in Second Mile initiatives, SOP’s, Human Resources best practices, employment liability law, and investigation procedures.
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process for assigned region from identifying requisition through onboarding.
- Monitors and coordinates certification compliance in assigned regions.
- Assists Director of Human Resources in identifying staffing plan changes during annual planning process and as needed throughout school year.
- Conducts initial interviews for leadership staff roles and other critical vacancies as determined by Director of Human Resources.
- Manages international teacher J1 visa program for assigned regions.
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process for assigned region from identifying requisition through onboarding.
- Assists Director of Human Resources in SOP development and maintenance
- Act as primary point of contact on fundamental HR issues, concerns, and questions for assigned regions.
- Serves as Title IX investigator for assigned regions.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Leads the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, policies and procedures for assigned regions.
- Recommend compensation offers based on established salary grades and candidate experience with adherence to annual budget plan.
- Works with finance to coordinate and implement grant and referendum funded payroll programs for assigned regions.
- Leads and develops employee engagement initiatives for assigned regions including but not limited to, employee of the month, LOS, school spotlight, and employee recognition channel.
- Drives employee retention and engagement strategies.
- Supports annual Great Place to Work re-certification process.
- Directs Recruitment and Staffing Specialist in supporting the recruitment for school and corporate staffing.
- Performs other projects and duties as assigned.

- Ability to calmly navigate complex and stressful employee relations matters
- Skilled in the use of productivity software, including but not limited to:
Microsoft Word Microsoft teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3-5 years previous Human Resource experience, preferably in Education or Social Work environments
- Experience navigating ADA, FMLA, EEO, and other relevant federal, state, and local employment law.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with Title IX investigations
- Prior experience working with ADP Workforce Now Preferred
