Sr. Cloud DevOps Engineer

Optomi, in partnership with our premier client in the media industry, is seeking a seasoned engineer with deep expertise in cloud-native development, Dev Ops, and software engineering. In this role, you’ll drive the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance systems and infrastructure. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to address complex challenges in distributed systems, data management, and large-scale performance. As a technical leader, you’ll write efficient, well-documented code, define robust architectural solutions, and mentor peers while staying on top of modern practices in cloud and software engineering.

$80.00/hr - $87.00/hr

24-month contract with potential to extend/convert

Hybrid: 2x a week onsite in Orlando, FL

• 5+ years of software development experience across multiple domains
• Strong background in distributed systems and data management
• Expert-level coding skills with attention to performance and efficiency
• Advanced proficiency in Python for backend and infrastructure development
• Solid Dev Ops experience: CI/CD, containerization (Docker), testing, and automation
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (IAM, S3, Kinesis, Lambda, SNS)
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Cloud Formation, or AWS CDK)
• Experience collaborating with engineering, data, and product teams
• Ability to design scalable, reliable, and low-latency architectures
• Experience in code reviews and providing technical mentorship

• Proficiency in a statically typed language (Type Script, Java, etc.)
