Job Overview
Join KPMG US as a Senior Associate Data Scientist within the Audit Technology Alliance organization. The role focuses on delivering innovative generative AI solutions to streamline audit processes and drive data‑driven insights for clients.
Responsibilities- Design and implement core components of generative AI solutions, including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and context engineering features.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, senior data scientists, and AI engineers to translate feature requirements into production‑ready code and contribute to the team’s technical objectives.
- Prototype modern AI agent and orchestration patterns using frameworks such as Lang Chain, Lang Graph, and Lang Smith.
- Own specific modules from development and experimentation through deployment, ensuring robust data science features.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and share knowledge on generative AI, audit methodologies, and best practices.
- Lead technical mentorship for junior data scientists in model tuning, context engineering, and advanced data analysis.
- Uphold KPMG’s values of integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility in all work activities.
- Minimum three years of recent experience in data science, machine learning engineering, or a similar role with a focus on building and deploying AI models.
- Preferred master’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related technical field; a bachelor’s degree is required.
- Proficiency with large language models (LLMs), AI frameworks such as Lang Chain or Semantic Kernel, and building AI‑powered applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python and its data science libraries; experience with Azure, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric is a significant plus.
- Experience with SDLC tools and methodologies, including Git, Azure Dev Ops, and agile frameworks.
- Excellent problem‑solving abilities and effective communication of technical details within a collaborative team environment.
