Position SummaryThe Director, Provider Optimization and Relationships - Information Technology (IT) serves as the strategic liaison between key physicians, advanced practice providers, and the Information Technology (IT) department. This role ensures alignment of technology solutions with clinical workflows to optimize patient outcomes and business value. Acting as a trusted advisor, the Director leads governance processes, manages IT support teams, and fosters strong relationships across Orlando Health functions.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Serve as the primary IT point of contact for physicians and APPs, driving technology strategy and solution discovery.
- Lead governance processes to prioritize initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing IT team; mentor managers and staff for continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain relationships with IT units to exceed service delivery and productivity goals.
- Oversee technical resource allocation, cost analysis, and budget planning.
- Provide critical analysis of systems and workflows to enhance patient outcomes and organizational performance.
- Ensure compliance with Orlando Health policies, HIPAA, and privacy regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Seven (7) years of progressive IT or healthcare experience.
- Three (3) years of progressive management experience.
- Strong leadership and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to manage complex projects and resolve escalated IT issues.
- Expertise in healthcare IT systems, compliance, and workflow optimization.
