Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Database Administrator with 9+ years of experience managing enterprise database environments across Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, cloud migrations, and automation within hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support SQL Server ), Oracle (11g-23AI+), PostgreSQL, and OCI database platforms.
- Design, implement, and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
- Perform database installations, upgrades, migrations, patching, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
- Manage Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Oracle Cloud Database Services, RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and PostgreSQL replication.
- Lead cloud migration and database modernization initiatives.
- Automate DBA tasks using Power Shell, Bash, Python, Ansible, or Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Monitor database health, troubleshoot production issues, and drive root cause analysis.
- Implement security controls, encryption, auditing, and compliance standards.
- Mentor junior DBAs and collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams.
