Summary
The role involves analyzing and responding to requests from policyholders, internal teams, and marketing personnel concerning insurance policies.
50% Client/Policy Services
- Providing daily service and building relationships with clients via calls and emails.
- Preparing submissions and marketing the business.
- Maintaining communication with insureds.
- Reviewing policies, invoicing, and requesting changes.
- Referring leads to appropriate personnel.
- Preparing proposals and coverage analyses.
- Maintaining updated expiration lists.
- Processing invoices, credits, and tracking transactions.
- Reviewing policy coverage and endorsements.
- Handling account service issues per standards.
- Maintaining carrier downloads and relationships.
- Ensuring compliance with service standards and developing industry knowledge.
- Handling complex policy issues with minimal supervision.
30% Renewal Marketing
- Remarketing current policies and preparing renewal presentations.
- Managing renewal timelines and processes.
- Generating summaries and proposals, and reviewing coverage with producers.
- Gathering marketing data from clients.
- Upselling opportunities and exposure analysis.
- Negotiating renewals with carriers.
- Reviewing and comparing quotes.
- Issuing binders, invoices, certificates, and endorsements.
10% Teamwork
- Collaborating with team and other departments.
- Training new team members.
- Assisting others and managing PTO to meet departmental needs.
- Participating in special projects.
10% Determination
- Showing commitment and initiative to meet educational goals.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
Minimum three years of insurance experience, preferably with personal lines accounts, or equivalent education and experience.
Computer Skills
Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, Word Processing, and Internet software is required.
