Wycliffe Associates is working on Bible translation projects for deaf and blind individuals worldwide, using the SUN (Symbolic Universal Notation) system, which provides immediate access to Scripture for these communities.
We seek native or bilingual Yoruba speakers to translate an English training manual into Yoruba. The manual, used by teachers of the deaf and blind in Yoruba-speaking regions, is 26 pages long. Basic computer skills, fluency in English and Yoruba, and access to Word and Excel are required. This remote volunteer role involves about 10-12 hours per week, potentially lasting a few months until completion.
This opportunity allows you to help bring the Gospel to the deaf and blind through your language skills.
