A prominent law firm based in Orlando, FL, is actively seeking a seasoned Litigation Attorney to handle a docket of high-value personal injury matters. This role involves managing all phases of litigation from case intake to jury verdict. The ideal candidate is trial-ready, adept at complex litigation strategy, and brings a strong record of successful outcomes in state and federal courts.
Duties:Conduct initial client meetings and initiate litigation by filing lawsuits
Manage discover,y including drafting, responding, and document review
Schedule and conduct depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and experts
Identify, retain, and depose expert witnesses
Represent clients in court for hearings, motion practice, and pre-trial conferences
Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations
Develop and implement trial strategies and lead courtroom proceedings
Draft post-trial motions and support the appellate processes as needed
Collaborate with litigation team members and participate in internal strategy meetings and file audits
Requirements:Active license to practice law in the state of Florida
Demonstrated expertise in personal injury litigation
Minimum of two jury trials served as first chair attorney
Capable of managing a demanding caseload independently
Ability to lead and supervise litigation support staff and paralegals
Proficient in legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy
Strong negotiation and client-relations skills
Confident courtroom demeanor and a passion for trial work
Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications:Must be admitted to the Florida Bar and in good standing
