The statewide defense firm of Cole, Scott & Kissane seeks a defense litigation paralegal with 5+ years of recent defense litigation experience for its Orlando office location. Candidates must be experienced in general liability and be independent professionals.

Required: Paralegal experience and trial experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Preparation of discovery responses and objections
• Summarization of medical and other types of records
• Knowledge of trial deadlines and redaction procedures
• Drafting medical chronologies, non‑party subpoenas, and deposition subpoenas
• Extensive preparation of trial binders and exhibits
• Assistance with large document production and use of Adobe for electronic production issues
• Proper capture of time and billing according to client guidelines

Typing speed must be at least 60 words per minute.

Qualifications:

5+ years recent defense litigation experience, knowledge of trial procedures, and independence.
