Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Paralegal to support legal (outside) and development teams. This role is ideal for a candidate with a background in real estate, land use, and contract law who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The Paralegal will assist with legal documentation, contract management, and regulatory compliance associated with real estate development projects, HOAs, POAs, and land use matters.
Executive could also assist senior executives, real estate broker teams with Founder closings and general real estate closings.
- Review, summarize, and assist in drafting development-related contracts (e.g., purchase and sale agreements, construction contracts, consultant agreements).
- Track critical dates, obligations, and contingencies in development agreements.
Review and organize homeowner and property owner association documents (CC&Rs, bylaws, declarations, rules and regulations).
- Assist in drafting and filing of amendments or newly created POA/HOA documents.
- Coordinate with external counsel, developers, and title companies.
- Assist in reviewing and tracking master development agreements, easements, entitlements, and land use approvals.
- Coordinate with planning departments, zoning consultants, and counsel regarding compliance and filings.
- Support acquisition and development teams in legal due diligence, including title/survey review, zoning analysis, and document compilation.
- Maintain contract and legal document database.
- Coordinate document execution and notarization.
- Liaise with outside counsel, municipalities, and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree;
Paralegal Certificate preferred. - Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in real estate or land use law, preferably in a development or law firm setting. Knowledge of: contract terms and legal structuring; HOA/POA governing documents and state regulations; land use, zoning, and permitting processes; understanding of residential real estate sales, transactions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Team player who can thrive on a team and also work independently.
- Excellent writing and communication abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
- Familiarity with Florida land use law and development practices.
- Experience supporting multi-phase master-planned communities, residential and commercial developments.
- Basic understanding of platting, dedications, and entitlement workflows.
- Knowledge of residential real estate sales contracts and obligations.
