First Party Property Paralegal – Orlando, FL

Well-respected Insurance Defense Firm with offices throughout Florida is seeking a First Party Property Paralegal to work onsite in Orlando. The firm offers comprehensive insurance coverage and defense services, policy analysis, and an exceptional work environment with benefits.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Evaluating and breaking down claim files
• Drafting memorandums, responses to discovery requests, and discovery requests
• Identifying privileged documents and preparing Privilege Logs
• Preparing discovery motions, notices, subpoenas, settlement agreements, and proposals
• Interviewing fact and expert witnesses
• Conducting legal research and property records searches using Lexis and other online platforms
• Performing other duties as needed to support the law firm’s mission

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• At least two (2) years of paralegal experience in civil litigation, preferably in property insurance litigation
• Florida Registered Paralegal or Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an accredited program
• Knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Florida Rules of Judicial Administration
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Time Matters, Juris billing, Lexis Nexis, Florida Evidence Code, and Florida Insurance Code
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Strong computer proficiency and attention to detail
• Dependability and ability to maintain confidentiality
