Due to recent growth, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager - Healthcare to serve as the on‑site Gilbane manager, responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a large or complex construction project, or multiple small projects.

This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to the office for trainings, meetings, etc. It will be initially focused on a healthcare construction project.

Responsibilities
  • Develop project safety plan with corporate safety and provide jobsite leadership
  • Develop project controls and procedures to manage complex project requirements; take ownership to mitigate high‑risk items for contract requirements
  • Manage project financial forecast, notice provisions, and billings to meet contract requirements; take corrective actions to address deviations noted in project vitals
  • Create and manage a project‑specific quality plan aligned with the Owner contract and contract documents and assist with execution
  • Create and manage a closeout plan in alignment with the contract documents and assist with execution
  • Provide leadership in motivating the project team and maintaining a positive work environment, including direct supervision of work, project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational priorities
  • Develop subcontracting strategy; review and write scopes and other deliverables to ensure the integrity of the buyout process
  • Implement and enforce all aspects of contracts; create and lead risk mitigation plan; prepare draft contracts, agreements, and purchase orders
  • Assume accountability for enrollment for insurance and bonds and manage compliance process for trade contractors
  • Lead the development of the project estimate and manage the project team and estimating team to meet contractual obligations
