HDR Engineering is looking for a Power Project Manager to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Program Management professionals. The primary duties of a Power Project Manager include planning, developing, executing, and closing out all aspects of Power projects of all sizes and complexity, including scope and/or proposal development, project team development and assignment, project execution, project closeout, and quality control, schedule, and budget management.

This position will support Program Managers in delivery of programs in partnership with clients.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, execute, and close out power projects of varying sizes and complexity, including scope/schedule/budget management.
  • Support program delivery in partnership with clients and to lead or assist in multidisciplinary project teams (engineering, environmental, real estate, GIS, etc.).
  • Implement program management plans at the project level and report to program leadership on compliance.
  • Lead QA/QC processes to deliver world-class quality.
  • Direct and manage services provided by HDR staff and potential subconsultants across engineering, project controls, environmental, real estate, strategic communications, GIS, and data management.
  • Organize and lead project meetings with internal and client teams; maintain regular client communication to manage expectations and progress.
  • Collaborate with project controls to monitor scope, schedule, and budget against metrics and adjust to meet budget and control losses.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to avoid or reduce risk.
  • Contribute to monthly program reporting and implement PMIS/BI tools to manage project deliverables.
  • Mentor, train, and/or supervise junior staff; support marketing and proposal development for new opportunities.
  • Travel for business development and project execution as required.
Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of program management experience (preferred)
  • Experience managing projects using PMIS tools (e.g., E-Builder, Pro Core, Kahua, Oracle, Primavera)
  • PMP certification
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 7 years related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years project management experience
  • Ability to interact with various design teams; excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills
  • Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture
