The Senior Manager, Project Support – GAP facilitates the strategic global vision for departmental and project processes, compliance, training, and SOP documentation within the GAP division. This position provides integration, analytical, decision, and communication support to drive alignment on behalf of key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
In addition to leading GAP’s strategic processes, the Senior Manager, Project Support – GAP leads stakeholder integration for all levels of Design, Development, and Delivery across all lines of business within Universal Destinations & Experiences (UDX) to deliver key metrics related to documentation for the delivery of capital projects.
Major Responsibilities- Ensure strategies and implementation plans align with GAP’s Charter, Mission, and Vision; institute best‑practice procedures and documentation.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Governance Operating Plans (GOP) across all project management processes.
- Assist the Director in developing Long‑Range Plans (LRP) for GAP by analyzing data from sources such as IBE, Maximo, Guest Experience & Analytics, GSAT, Quality Control Reports, PMWeb, etc., and manage integration and data analysis for Venue Sustainability Evaluation (VSE).
- Partner with stakeholders to fulfill VSE requirements, establish venue baselines for reliability, operations, and critical component use rates, and facilitate training on safety, documentation, processes, systems, and project management.
- Implement audits and quality control processes to support project management acquiring all documentation and deliverables.
- Provide support to Finance, Legal, and other project‑related teams to identify best practices, optimize functionality, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Build and develop process‑improvement tools to support the GAP organization, including dashboards, schedules, and reporting platforms.
- Facilitate comprehensive risk‑management planning using scalable methods for anticipating project risks and opportunities.
- Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in an applicable technical field required.
- Advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in direct theme‑park specific technical/engineering roles, or similar experience in a related technical field.
- Or equivalent combination of experience and education.
