Job Summary
The Site Supervisor is a crew leader that manages field operations for a specific customer and/or site daily, ensuring quality and job specifications are met.
Duties and Responsibilities- Maintain a schedule and ensure service expectations are met.
- Identify and upscale customer problems or concerns to the Operations Manager.
- Assist in resolving issues with customer service when needed.
- Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager to ensure client needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
- Monitor site quality daily and ensure crews address deficiencies promptly.
- Deliver services as specified on the client site.
- Work to identify more efficient ways to perform work.
- Coordinate service execution with the Operations Manager.
- Oversee day‑to‑day site operations and delegate work to crew team members.
- Provide Operations Manager feedback on crew member performance.
- Help develop and train crew members.
- Ensure that preventative maintenance is performed as needed and equipment is in good working order.
- Participate in branch meetings as directed.
- Ensure crew time is accurately captured.
- Log equipment usage and maintenance cycles.
- Bright View equipment certifications.
- Experience in a landscape‑related field.
- Demonstrated leadership among the team and peers.
- Driver’s License.
- Attention to detail required.
- Ability to communicate with crews and customers on site.
- Bi‑Lingual (Spanish) preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto a trailer (up to 50 lbs.).
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day.
- Ability to walk/stand up to 10 hours a day.
- Must be able to direct reports to the customer site.
- Work in or near situations involving automotive traffic.
- Work near or in natural bodies of water.
- Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 °F.
- Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods.
- Work outdoors in moderate to extreme heat in dry/humid conditions, near automotive traffic, natural bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical/electrical hazards, and direct sunlight.
- Requires protective clothing and personal devices: eye protection, safety vest, gloves, hard hat, earplugs, long‑sleeved shirts, and work boots.
