Position SummaryThe Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the corporate accounting functions for the company.
Essential Job Functions- Oversees the consolidation of month-end and year-end close activities for the company’s financials. This includes reviewing all financials and reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting for income statements, balance sheets and cash account reconciliations.
- Works collaboratively with other departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
- Preparation of monthly leadership and quarterly board reporting.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly borrowing base calculations and quarterly debt covenant reports for financial institutions.
- Prepares, analyzes, and maintains liquidity forecasts to support strategic cash management and financial planning.
- Assists in developing, documenting, and communicating accounting policy and procedures.
- Participates in the review of the annual budgets working with the senior leadership team.
- Communicates and assists senior leadership with financial statements and cash management.
- Provides management, training, and development to local accounting team.
- Special projects and other functions as required.
- Work-related experience should consist of an in-depth background in accounting and superior supervisory skills.
- Advanced knowledge of related state and federal compliance regulations, GAAP and treasury policies and procedures.
- Advanced skills related to the consolidation and reporting of financial results, and formulation and implementation of accounting procedures.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to provide leadership, supervision and training using positive supervisory techniques to ensure maximum productivity; demonstrated ability in organization and delegation skills.
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence and procedures, speak clearly to members and employees.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years in Accounting with sound understanding of GAAP rules and regulations.
