A Millwork Assembly Manager will manage the work of a team of millwork assemblers, leads and supervisors. This position is responsible for overseeing the assembly process in an efficient manner.
What you will do- Oversee material staging and ensure proper availability of supplies for production.
- Coordinate component set-up and verify materials are prepared for upcoming orders.
- Direct and support team leads in truss setups, measurements, and quality checks.
- Monitor product quality and verify compliance with standards and specifications.
- Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and conducive to efficient operations.
- Coordinate set-up of assembly processes and allocate resources as needed.
- Ensure safe and efficient use of equipment during the assembly process.
- Monitor production workflow process assisting other areas as needed.
- Enforce OSHA requirements, company safety rules, and safe work practices.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote strong customer service values.
- Maintain operational awareness to ensure error-free and damage-free results.
- Responsible for managing a team of 10+ associates (direct and indirect), including hiringand termination decisions, setting goals, communicating expectations, providing performance feedback, and overseeing budget accountability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- Adheres to Company's commitment to workplace safety.
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
- 5+ years of industry experience / Millwork assembly required.
- Must be able to read a tape measure and use a hammer.
- Ability to learn to operate equipment such as routers, saws, presses, and staple guns.
- Excellent teamwork & customer relationships
- Demonstration of leadership (all required):
- Mentor new associates
- Willingness to train others
