Grinding Machinist I-III (2nd Shift)

Set up, program, and operate grinding machines to produce parts that meet the required specifications.

• Set up, program, and run various grinding machines.
• Program trouble shooting and maintain tooling.
• Understand and select appropriate cutter compensation.
• Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications.
• Keep the work area clean and neat.
• Follow all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding.
• Maintain simple reports such as time sheets and work orders.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Maintain concentration while standing and perform physical tasks (push, pull, lift, carry up to 25 lbs).
• Work the 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM (2nd Shift).

• Minimum one to two years of machining experience.
• Knowledge of lathes, grinding, turning and multi‑axis machines.
• Familiarity with controls such as Fanuc, Milltronics and Prototrak.
• Knowledge of programming and use of G & M codes.
