Quality Control Technician - Food and Beverage Industry

Adecco Permanent Recruitment is seeking a Quality Control Technician in Orlando, Florida. The ideal candidate for this opportunity will have 2-3 years of experience as a Quality Control Technician in the Food and Beverage manufacturing space
. Experience working with PH Testing, Raw Material analyzation, and Calibration are all preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Perform physico-chemical and organoleptic tests by following procedures, record tests results and confirm respects and compliances to Quality standards (Able to use specific lab equipment such as Titrator, Densimeter, Refractometer, Flash point tester, etc).
  • Ensure that laboratory testing equipment is calibrated accurately and maintain all the instrumentation in proper working condition.
  • Perform sampling of inbound shipments.
  • Perform necessary adjustments to production batches.
  • Perform microbiological analysis.
  • Monitor shelf life of raw materials in production.
  • Manage workload according to Production schedule.
  • Complete and prepare necessary documents to release products (Certificate Of Analysis, Labels, etc.).
  • Take part in sensory evaluation panels.
  • Communicate appropriate information to supervision and other employees.
  • Prepare, package, and send samples to approved external labs.
  • Keep work area clean.

Preferred Experience:

  • College degree or equivalent experience (Chemistry, Biology, Science, or a similar degree), 2-3 years of experience in a QC laboratory is preferred.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft office) and ERP experience
  • Ability to anticipate and proactively solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
