Job Summary- Utilizing proper tools, equipment and processes to assemble, solder, and crimp wired electronic components following documentation and quality specifications.
- Must have the ability to conduct: wiring assembly, limited testing, troubleshooting, and inspection.
- Assemble components into housings and sub‑assemblies, making required interconnections using soldering, crimping, and other techniques as specified, working to Class 3 workmanship standards (IPC J‑STD‑001).
- Fabricate cable assemblies using soldering, crimping, and other techniques to meet IPC‑A‑610 & IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 standards.
- Solder wires of 32
AWG under a microscope as required. - Assemble products or sub‑assemblies in a clean‑room manufacturing environment per verbal or written instructions, drawings, and/or predefined assembly procedures.
- Work to very tight tolerances on assembled parts.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and/or production equipment, including manual and automated testing.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Accurately record as‑built information, traceability requirements, labor hours, and other statistics into computer databases to comply with customer requirements.
- Assist other technicians/teammates with assembly processes and tasks as required.
- Support other activities assigned by the Production Manager.
- AS degree (preferred) or formal education in electronics.
- Minimum 5 years of wiring and soldering experience.
- Certification in high‑reliability electronic assembly processes per J‑STD‑001, IPC‑A‑610 & IPC/WHMA‑A‑620.
- Excellent communication skills, self‑motivated, capable of multitasking and high attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret various forms of assembly documentation.
- Ability to handle materials safely and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Authorized to work in the US and eligible for passport.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- The work environment is a professional office.
- 9/80 work schedule or as assigned by Production Manager.
