Maintenance Technician

Job : BMM-FL

Location: Orlando, FL area

3rd shift: $32 up to $36 per hour + Overtime // Tuesday to Saturday, 11PM – 7AM (3rd shift)

Responsibilities

  • Perform predictive/preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment throughout the industrial plant operates safely and at peak performance.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs for automated production equipment.
  • Maintain and repair production and facility electrical systems.
  • Maintain and repair automated production machinery including extrusion machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years or more of manufacturing or production maintenance experience.
  • Excellent electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • PLC knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
  • Electrical maintenance on control circuits, 3-phase motors, VFDs, AC/DC drives, power supplies, etc.
  • Knowledge of volts, amps, ohms – electrical current.
  • Experience with maintenance for production machinery such as conveyors, packaging machines, fillers, mixers, and labelers (highly preferred).
  • Experience with proximity switches, inverters, and testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals, including electrical diagrams and control circuits.
  • Welding stainless steel (TIG and MIG) preferred.
  • Experience with pneumatic compressors, cylinders, valves, etc.
  • The position requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass drug screening.
  • Own hand tools required.
