- Oversee the 3rd shift (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) 6am-6:30pm production of photonics systems in the Orlando operations team.
- Deliver high‑quality products on time, controlling costs and meeting program objectives.
- As a key member of the leadership team, directly impact business performance by ensuring efficient, high‑quality production operations, balancing priorities, fostering team collaboration, and continuously improving processes.
- Use expertise and decision‑making to drive company success.
- Optimize production quality, timelines, and costs through data‑driven strategies.
- Assess issues and develop mitigation plans to meet productivity, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
- Develop and implement innovative approaches to consistently meet or exceed delivery commitments.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of salaried and hourly staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage workforce planning, training, strategic hiring, professional development programs, and performance evaluations.
- Align production efforts with broader program goals and company objectives.
- Implement corrective action planning.
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Must be willing to work onsite.
- AS in Engineering or Business or related degree (or equivalent experience) and 13 years manufacturing experience.
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain a government clearance.
- Minimum 5 years management experience in complex electro‑optical DoD production.
- Expert knowledge of all aspects of high‑volume electro‑optical manufacturing—including assembly, test, manufacturing and test engineering, supply chain, material planning, MRP, and IMS scheduling.
- Experience leading a multifunctional team.
- Practical experience with Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and DoD aerospace manufacturing.
- Knowledgeable in AS‑9100.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD security clearance.
- Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience supervising/leading people and performance management.
- BS in Engineering or Business or related degree.
- Prior experience in photonics manufacturing of assemblies with optical fiber.
- Prior experience with new product introduction to manufacturing.
- Demonstrated expertise in Infor enterprise software.
- Knowledge and experience in Earned Value Management; ability to set, monitor, and adhere to budgets.
- Knowledge in developing manufacturing labor and material proposals in compliance with DFAR regulations.
- Expert knowledge of Bills of Material and configuration management and change control processes.

Pay RangeThe proposed salary range for this position is: $71,500 - $150,200. Salary is influenced by geographic location, contract categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
