Qualifications and responsibilities for this surface and cylindrical grinder position include: 1-2+ years of hands-on grinding experience required. Experience setting up and operating surface and/or cylindrical grinding machines.

Experience dressing and truing grinding wheels for optimal cut quality. Ability to hold tight tolerances on hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents; working knowledge of gd&t strongly preferred. Proficiency using micrometers, indicators, surface comparators, and other precision measuring instruments. Inspect finished parts and verify conformance to dimensional and surface-finish requirements; make machine adjustments based on inspection results.

Maintain grinding equipment and ensure coolant systems function properly while following quality and safety procedures. Salary: $27-$31 per hour, plus shift differential pay.
