*** What Product Test & Calibration contributes to Cardinal Health
*** Manufacturing is responsible for cost of production and maintenance activities including process improvement, supply chain management, quality assurance, employee safety and engagement, and environmental commitment. Product Test & Calibration sets up, aligns, monitors, and/or calibrates production equipment. Assists and may perform maintenance on machines and cleans up minor chemical spills in assigned area as well as glassware, ovens, and other equipment.
*** Shift Details**
* * 11:00 pm to 7:00 am - Tuesday to Saturday
*** Responsibilities**
* * Process injection molding machines to run mold processes within validated parameters.
* Troubleshoot injection molding processes using scientific molding techniques.
* Setup the production floor and monitor kanban/shop order levels.
* Assist engineering with molding validations following the company procedures and using scientific molding techniques.
* Attend tier meetings and effectively communicate floor needs to the management team in order to make production goals and drive continuous improvement.
* Process injection molding machines to run mold processes within validated parameters.
* Set molds in machines when needed safely using a hoist and the proper clamping method.
* Assist in root cause investigations for any quality defect issues on the floor.
*** Qualifications**
* * 2+ years of experience with injection molding processes with polypropylene and polyethylene resins preferred
* High School Diploma or GED preferred
*** What is expected of you and others at this level**
* * Applies knowledge and company policies to complete a variety of tasks
* Demonstrates a working knowledge of jobs outside area of responsibility
* Maintains appropriate licenses, training and certifications
* Works on assignments that are moderately difficult requiring judgment in resolving issues
* May assist in recommendation of processes on new assignments
* Adheres to all quality guidelines
* Works with limited supervision
* Work occasionally involves review of output by work lead or supervisor
* May provide general guidance or technical assistance to less experienced team members
** Anticipated hourly range**: $24.75 - $34.65 per hour (includes shift differential)
