Description: Position summary:
The Director of Elementary Ministry plays a vital role in nurturing the spiritual growth of our youngest members. At a age-appropriate level, creating a safe and engaging environment where children can explore the Bible, expand their faith and develop a deep love for Jesus Christ while building relationships. This individual would oversee the elementary ministry on Sunday mornings and mid-week activities.
They would handle administrative responsibilities, parent communication, plan and direct summer camp and special events.
Qualifications: A mature, vibrant, and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ. A deep commitment to elementary age spiritual development and to the core values of Belle Isle Community Church. Two or more years experience working with children. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and priorities in a part time role. Ability to communicate with and encourage parents and volunteers.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
