Help Change the Future for Florida's Children and Families

We’re looking for a Senior Grant Writer who is passionate about using their expertise to create meaningful impact. In this role, you’ll help secure the funding that makes CHS programs and services possible—and directly benefits children and families across Florida.
What You’ll DoResearch and identify foundation, corporate, and government funding opportunities.
Lead the development, writing, and submission of competitive grant proposals.
Collaborate with program and statewide teams to develop strong funding concepts, SMART outcomes, and compelling narratives.
Research evidence-based programs and support program design for funding opportunities.
Maintain accurate grant records and keep leadership informed of funding opportunities and proposal activity.
Prepare post-award documentation and support funder reporting requirements.
Build positive relationships with prospective and current funders.
Provide technical support, training, and guidance to other grant writers and CHS team members.
Stay current on grant trends, funding priorities, and proposal requirements.
Participate in special projects and other activities that advance the CHS mission.
What You BringBachelor’s degree in a human services-related field required;
Master’s preferred.
5+ years of successful federal, state, and foundation grant writing and administration experience,
required
.
Experience with a social services nonprofit strongly preferred.
Experience with fundraising/constituent CRM systems.
Strong research, project management, organization, and time-management skills.
Excellent written, oral, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Strong collaboration, coaching, and facilitation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related systems.
Florida Driver's License within 30 days of hire and reliable, insured transportation.
