Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse

Surg Center Northeast is an Ambulatory Surgery Center located in Temple Terrace, Florida.

Ambulatory surgery centers (or outpatient surgery centers) are healthcare facilities where surgical procedures not requiring an overnight hospital stay are performed.

The Registered Nurse, operating room, provides nursing care and services during surgery cases. The RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. Experience in surgical procedures across specialties such as Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, and Urology is preferred.

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Currently licensed in the state of Florida.
• CPR certification required; advanced life support certification preferred.
• At least one year of experience in an intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing the responsibilities of the position.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in surgical nursing.
• Current RN license in Florida.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Knowledge of hospital policies and OR procedures.
• Proficiency in OR nursing skills, with understanding of developmental needs across pediatric to geriatric patients.
