Registered Nurse – Part‑Time Nights – Four Corners ED

Title: Registered Nurse Facility: Four Corners Free‑Standing ED Location: Clermont, FL Status: Part‑Time Department: Emergency Department Schedule: Nights (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.) – 2×12s on 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m., variable nights and rotating weekends

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Licensure: Current RN license in Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications preferred (or required depending on patient population)
  • Certified in area of expertise (e.g., ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC)
  • Experience:

    Minimum 1 year as an RN; 2–3 years in an Emergency Department highly preferred
Responsibilities
  • Provide critical nursing care to patients requiring complex assessment and high‑intensity interventions
  • Utilize data to anticipate and respond confidently to rapidly changing patient conditions
  • Interpret and record specialized equipment readings (intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, cardiac rhythms, etc.)
  • Respond to life‑saving situations following nursing standards and protocols
  • Monitor patients, identify serious situations, and take pre‑planned emergencies measures when a physician is not immediately available
  • Develop and revise individualized care plans; evaluate progress toward expected outcomes
  • Act as patient and family advocate and maintain respectful relationships with all team members
  • Serve as preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator, or nurse clinician as needed
  • Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary team to plan and manage unit activities
  • Coordinate care and delegate tasks to appropriate team members based on patient needs
  • Document patient care consistently and in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Demonstrate competency in nursing skills and required equipment use
  • Prioritize patient care following evidence‑based practice standards
  • Resolve problems effectively and delegate tasks based on team members’ capabilities
  • Communicate patient condition or unit concerns to other health‑care team members
  • Create a compassionate and therapeutic environment for patients and families
  • Uphold legal issues and patients’ rights
  • Participate in education, mentorship, and coaching to support team development
  • Maintain punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies and federal, state, and local standards
  • Ensure compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
Additional Functions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of quality healthcare practice and organizational outcomes
  • Participate in unit or organization‑level committees and peer reviews
  • Practice efficient use of supplies; maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Attend staff development in‑services, meetings, and nursing committee sessions
  • Identify professional development needs with nursing leadership
  • Assume responsibility for your own professional development and continuing education
  • Perform assigned duties as required by the department
