A leading Central Florida surgical team is hiring an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN) to support an expanding heart and vascular program in the Orlando metro area
.
This position provides exposure to open-heart, thoracic, and hybrid vascular procedures
, as well as opportunities to circulate in general operating room cases.
You will work in a state-of-the-art surgical suite designed for collaboration, precision, and innovation, surrounded by a multidisciplinary team committed to quality and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive perioperative care for adult cardiac and vascular surgery patients.
- Circulate and scrub in for open-heart, vascular, and thoracic procedures.
- Ensure the OR environment is properly prepared with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia teams, and perfusionists to deliver safe, efficient procedures.
- Monitor and document patient status throughout surgery, intervening as necessary.
- Participate in call rotation and respond to call-ins within 30 minutes.
- Educate patients and families on preoperative preparation and postoperative recovery.
Required:
- Current RN license (Florida or Compact State; Florida endorsement required within 60 days of relocation)
- Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR experience in an acute care hospital
- Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- BLS certification (within 30 days of hire)
- ACLS certification (within 6 months of hire)
Preferred:
- CNOR or cardiovascular specialty certification
- Experience with hybrid OR or structural heart procedures
- Annual Salary: $72,400 to $102,000 (Based on experience and skill level)
- On-Call Pay: $4.00/hour + 1.5x base pay for call-ins
- Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 |
