Position Summary

Position Summary: The Sr., Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)/Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) leads in the management of and consultation regarding nurse midwifery protocols while incorporating all essential aspects of primary care – evaluation, assessment, treatment, and referral.

• Lead the application of the OH care model with a focus on ambulatory care of women and newborns, emphasizing health promotion, education, disease prevention, and centering the woman in care.
• Provide comprehensive care including preconception counselling, normal pregnancy and childbirth care, normal gynecological services, contraceptive care, and peri‑ and post‑menopausal care.
• Handle emergency situations and provide collaborative practice per established protocols.
• Assist in surgery, perform ultrasound services, work a rotation schedule, and participate in office practice call.
• Maintain punctual attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies, ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Ensure compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
• Manage patients within the healthcare system, including medical consultation, collaborative management, referral to hospital departments, and coordination with community agencies.
• Support the organization’s financial well‑being by delivering cost‑effective, quality care that meets clinical and financial outcomes.
• Provide educational opportunities and resources on clinical treatment, research activities, and grant development.

• Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the nurse midwife category.
• Certified Nurse‑Midwifery by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB); certification renewed every 5 years.
• Current active certification and licensure in the State of Florida as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the nurse midwife category; renewed every 2 years.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification and NRP certification.
• Minimum five (5) years of specialty experience.
