Combining the collective strengths of Orlando Health and high‑quality physicians at Watson Clinic, we are expanding access to award‑winning specialty care for patients in Polk County and beyond. In Summer 2026, Orlando Health Watson Clinic Lakeland Highlands Hospital – a state‑of‑the‑art, seven‑story, multi‑specialty hospital – will serve as a vital 550,000‑square‑foot healthcare hub offering:
- 300+ inpatient beds and 69 emergency and observation beds
- 11 operating rooms and four cardiac interventional suites
- Dedicated labor and delivery services – including a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) that will debut shortly after the hospital opens
- Comprehensive cardiovascular, neurology, and oncology services
- Advanced surgical procedures

Responsibilities- Shared 24/7 accountability with Nursing Operations Manager.
- Recruit and select new team members for the unit through interviews and peer selection.
- Coordinate with Human Resources to manage corrective action, progressive discipline, and career advancement.
- Investigate event reports and provide feedback to the Nursing Operations Manager and team.
- Oversee unit schedules to ensure proper staffing mix.
- Maintain oversight of patient flow and intervene to achieve expected outcomes.
- Perform nurse leader rounds and reviews to identify variance and lead quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure customer experience is upheld and provide service recovery when needed.
- Interface with patients and families to coordinate nursing activities.
- Lead staff meetings, GEMBA board, or huddles and demonstrate ownership of unit outcomes.
- Perform direct patient care activities as required.
- Maintain confidentiality, punctual attendance, and compliance with all policies.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; MSN preferred.
- Preferred graduate degree in business or health‑related field.
- Current RN licensure in Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as applicable.
- Two (2) years of experience as a registered nurse in an acute setting.
