Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174-bed, private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24‑hour emergency services.
Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out‑patient and ECT services for adults. Week 1: M‑F 8 AM – 5 PM
The Utilization Review Coordinator performs admission and concurrent review of patients. Assures optimum quality of patient care in the most cost‑effective manner. Works closely with the Physicians and the Social Services department to ensure quality of documentation of patient care. Completes Medicare B‑Tag audits.
Job Duties /Responsibilities- Performs admission review as outlined in the UR Plan on a daily basis.
- Maintains records of the admission review process as outlined in the UR Plan 100% of the time.
- Communicates any admission review complications to Physician advisor.
- Communicates issues or concerns with admission to the Director of Intake.
- Informs attending physician at any time during stay if there are complications with continued stay.
- Exercises discretion and independent judgment while working with payor sources.

- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work or other related field. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in chart analysis and utilization review in the psychiatric and chemical dependency field preferred.
- Valid FL license, e.g., RN, LSCW, LMHC or LMFT preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills required to communicate in a clear and concise manner with patients, physicians, staff and administration.
- Stable emotional makeup required to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions.
