Position Summary- Department:
Orlando Health Medical Group – Outpatient Preadmission Testing. - Schedule:
Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. - Location:
17000 Porter Rd, Winter Garden, FL 34787. - Job Title:
RN, Ambulatory Care.

- Utilize ambulatory care nursing knowledge to promote wellness, restore health, address situational problems, and support end‑of‑life care.
- Assess patients’ needs and apply evidence‑based nursing practice when developing individualized care plans.
- Provide age‑appropriate care and assess data regarding patients’ status to inform care decisions.
- Prescribe, delegate, coordinate, and document patient care, including assessment, education, medication administration, treatments, and safety.
- Demonstrate competence in nursing skills and use of unit equipment as required.
- Prioritize patient care in line with Evidence‑Based Practice Standards of Care.
- Identify and resolve problems effectively.
- Delegate tasks to the healthcare team based on patient needs and team member capabilities.
- Communicate patient condition or unit concerns to appropriate team members.
- Maintain a safe and caring environment for patients and families.
- Integrate patient and family education into care delivery.
- Participate in process improvement activities as assigned.
- Demonstrate awareness of legal issues, patient rights, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure punctual attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies, ADA, FMLA, and other standards.
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and the unit/department.
- Valid registered nursing license in Florida or membership in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
- ACLS, NRP, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required for certain areas.
- Minimum one year of experience in a relevant setting, unless approved by an AVP level or above.
- Seniority Level: Entry‑level.
