Software Quality Assurance Engineer with Security Clearance
Position Overview:
Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team in Orlando, Florida, in support of the National Cyber Range Complex (NCRC) Range Modernization team. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust QA/QC framework to ensure the technical excellence, compliance, and performance of range modernization deliverables. The ideal candidate brings a hands‑on approach to both strategic quality assurance planning and operational quality control execution, ensuring alignment with DoD standards and customer requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control processes, procedures, and metrics for range modernization activities.
- Conduct technical reviews, audits, and inspections to validate system design, integration, and delivery meet contract requirements and standards.
- Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering lifecycle.
- Define quality KPIs, track defects and deviations, and prepare quality dashboards and reports for government and program leadership.
- Ensure all documentation, configuration management, and technical artifacts meet contract deliverables and traceability standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, integrators, and site support teams to verify conformance to contract requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare for and support government assessments, technical readiness reviews (TRRs), and formal test events.
- Ensure quality policies are aligned with NIST, ISO, CMMI, and/or MIL-STD best practices, and integrated into the overall systems engineering process.
- Support risk management, FMEA, and change control processes to mitigate quality-related risks.
- U.S. citizenship and a minimum Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in QA/QC for DoD systems, ideally with complex systems integration or test environments.
- Experience with DoD acquisition lifecycle, engineering reviews, and verification/validation methods.
- Strong understanding of MIL-STD, ISO 9001/AS9100, NIST 800-53, CMMI, or equivalent standards.
- Familiarity with digital range infrastructure, software/hardware integration, or cyber range environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Quality Management Systems (QMS), and SharePoint.
- Experience supporting cyber range environments or DoD test and evaluation contracts or task orders.
- Certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Auditor (CQA, CQE), Six Sigma, or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
