Dishwasher​/Receiver

Description

The primary responsibility of a Dishwasher/Receiver is to clean all dishware, quickly and efficiently, following Hawkers Asian Street Food commissary procedures. The Dishwasher/Receiver is also responsible for the cleanliness of the building and its perimeters. In addition to cleaning duties, the Dishwasher/Receiver is responsible to the receiving of products, placement and rotation into existing commissary inventory, and assisting with the loading, wrapping, and expediting of outgoing PO’s to our broadline vendors.

Other duties may be assigned as the need arises.

• Keep the dish area clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
• Monitor dish machine water temperature and chemicals to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all smallwares, utensils, storage bins as needed.
• Keep dish area and equipment clean, sanitized, and organized.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times.
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
• Receive and rotate products into inventory.
• Compile (build), wrap, expedite outbound Purchase Orders to our broadline vendors.
• Show flexibility in terms of your schedule and fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the commissary as directed by leadership.
• Maintain a high level of personal cleanliness.
• Be a team player; help fellow team members at every opportunity.
• Other duties may be assigned as the need arises.
• Understand and follow OSHA and HACCP compliance standards.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must be able to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach above shoulder level.
• Must be comfortable working in an environment with exposure to extreme cold/hot temperatures.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
