Mia's Orlando Host

As a host, your responsibility includes a warm greeting, escorting guests to their tables, or making them feel comfortable while they wait for a table. Hosts must be motivated, enthusiastic and highly personable. Hosts are outgoing and able to promote a fun atmosphere. Hosts market the restaurant to new and potential guests by setting the stage for an exceptional dining experience.

• Provide a warm greeting and escort guests to their tables; assist guests while they wait for a table and ensure they feel comfortable.
• Maintain a motivated, enthusiastic, and personable demeanor; contribute to a fun restaurant atmosphere.
• Promote the restaurant to new and potential guests and set the stage for an exceptional dining experience.

• High school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
• Previous experience as a host is preferred, but not required.
• Must speak English fluently and be able to write in basic English.
• Must be able to work well under pressure and be self-motivated.
• Must have good organizational, time management and sales skills.
• Good communication skills—both written and verbal.
• Must be dependable, reliable and driven with minimal supervision.
• Must possess a high level of awareness, attention to detail and follow-through.
• Must be effective and efficient at multi-tasking in pressure situations.

• Position requires sitting, handling, eye-hand coordination, stooping, kneeling, and walking/standing for multiple hours in succession.
• This position may require lifting, carrying, pulling or pushing up to approximately 21-50 lbs.
• Must be able to withstand changes to temperature, occasional smoke, steam and heat; work in a confined area for multiple hours in succession.
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms, talk and hear effectively with surrounding background noise.
• Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Must possess adequate sensory abilities to observe and detect emergency situations, distinguish product taste, texture, temperature, presentation and preparation.
• Must be able to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
