Description
The Warehouse Associate position exists to ensure effective movement and management of inventory between the dock, sales floor, product repair, customer pickup, and delivery. This role involves evaluating and shipping merchandise and managing inventory flow. The Warehouse Associate is also responsible for unloading trailers (Receiving). This is an individual contributor role within a designated unit.
Job Duties
- Fill order requests, stage merchandise, and load for timely shipments (Shipping).
- Evaluate products and move to designated zones for processing (Receiving).
- Move merchandise between dock, stockroom staging area, sales floor, customer pick-up or delivery, and remove 'sold' merchandise from sales floor.
- Audit and maintain accuracy of HFM (Hold for Merchandise) staging area.
- Assemble merchandise and fixtures as needed for seasonal or floor plan changes.
- Process receipts and ensure inventories are controlled, monitored, and logged.
- Create documentation to log all shipments and deliveries to customers.
- Provide customer service during pick-ups and inquiries, ensuring a friendly and timely experience.
- Report unsafe or unethical conditions to Store Management.
- Maintain a team environment by facilitating the movement of merchandise and maintaining presentation standards.
- Follow company policies to protect assets during customer pick-up procedures.
- Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning and organizing.
- Assist with extra sales help as needed once cross-trained.
- Maintain a safe and clean receiving area.
- Assist customers with loading and securing merchandise in their vehicles.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift and move at least fifty (50) pounds to ensure flow and replenishment of merchandise.
