Overview

Good people, working with good people, for our common good.

Sound good?

KeHE-a natural, organic, specialty and fresh food distributor-is all about "good" and is growing, so there's never been a more exciting time to join our team. If you're enthusiastic about working in an environment with a people-first culture and an organization committed to good living, good food and good service, we'd love to talk to you!

Primary Responsibilities

The Regional Fresh Specialist is the bridge between our fresh suppliers, broker partners, KeHE Territory Sales Representatives, and key regional customers. You’ll be on the front lines driving growth in our Fresh category—by introducing high-potential new items, ensuring smooth launches into distribution centers (DCs), and supporting flawless execution in the field.

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re a natural relationship-builder, an influencer that can align teams without direct authority, and a strategic thinker who uses data to identify opportunities and unlock category growth.

Essential Functions
  • Own Fresh category growth goals:
    • Partner with sales teams to meet or exceed annual YOY Fresh POD growth target.
    • Use sales analytics to identify whitespace opportunities and recommend high-impact items.
  • Manage the process from supplier pitch through DC placement and field execution.
  • Track new item performance, gaps, share insights, and adjust plans for success.
  • Serve as primary contact for Fresh suppliers in your territory, ensuring mutual success.
  • Build trust and collaboration with brokers, Territory Sales Representatives, and internal teams (Category Management, Supply Chain, Promotions/Sales Enablement).
  • Represent Fresh at selling shows, providing pre-, during-, and post-event support to drive sales lift.
  • Address service, inventory, or execution challenges quickly to protect customer relationships.
Minimum Requirements , Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field of study.
  • 2+ years of experience in account management, key account sales, or customer success—preferably in fresh grocery categories (produce, deli, bakery, dairy, meat/seafood).
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and managing customer relationships.
  • Experience in mass and conventional channel merchandising and assortment analysis preferred.
  • Ability to effectively manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously and often with time conflicting pressures.
  • Ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced business environment.
  • Natural, specialty and/or fresh product knowledge with ability to recognize brands and trends.
  • Project management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and creativity skills.
  • Demonstrated strength in oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to take initiative on projects with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with visualization tools, such as Power

    BI, a plus.
  • Willingness to travel (40-50%).
