Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the sales of upgrades and retrofits products and for the development of fuel conversion sales projects for all MAN 4 Stroke large bore engines in the region Americas – with primary focus on the power and marine market.
  • Primary point of contact for all questions related to retrofit and upgrades for MAN 4

    Stroke engines, SCR, and Turbocharger for all sales managers from various local entities within the region.
  • Responsible for the identification of sales leads, qualification of sales opportunities, development of sales projects, and turning these into winning orders.
  • Responsible for initiation and execution of targeted sales campaigns and promotions related to specific technical solutions for our customers.
  • Conduct customer visits with local sales managers to promote our solutions, present, and explain our specific technical concepts and proposals.
  • Work with the tendering management team in Germany to develop customer-specific offerings, considering requirements and expectations.
  • Define the winning sales strategy for specific projects.
  • Negotiate and finalize contracts for large conversion projects, including internal approval procedures.
  • Education Required

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business;
    Master's Degree preferred.

    Experience Required

    Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales or project development role within the marine industry. Experience leading large acquisition projects.

    Other Skills
    • Deep understanding of marine business.
    • Customer-oriented, entrepreneurial, self-disciplined, and highly motivated with the ability to focus on priorities.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Fluent in spoken and written English; additional languages are advantageous.
    • Willingness to travel as needed (partially >25%, sometimes on short notice).
