Berman Security Agency, LLC is seeking experienced and professional Security Supervisor responsible for the surveillance and protection of our premises, as well as ensuring the safety of our tenants, staff, and visitors. Please note, Berman reserves the right to adjust employees' work designations and assignments, including shifts and locations, as required by operational needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision & Leadership:
- Supervises daily security team operations, ensuring efficient task completion.
- Devise and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard the organization and its assets.
- Perform routine security assessments to identify and address potential risks and vulnerabilities, crafting strategies for risk reduction.
- Monitor surveillance and alarm systems, swiftly responding to security breaches or incidents.
- Liaise with law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant stakeholders during security emergencies.
- Educate and train security personnel on protocols and emergency response plans.
- Regularly inspect security equipment to ensure proper functioning and upkeep.
- Collaborate across departments to integrate security measures into all operational facets, including events, facility management, and employee safety.
- Stay abreast of evolving security trends, technologies, and regulations, providing recommendations for system and procedural enhancements.
Incident & Client Management:
- Meet with property managers regarding security incidents, concerns, and operational updates.
- Investigate & respond security incidents, accidents, and breaches, preparing comprehensive reports with improvement recommendations.
- Conduct investigations into security breaches or violations.
- Assist in handling coaching, disciplinary actions, including counseling and corrective measures for security personnel.
Administrative Duties:
- Review and verify security reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Check emails and respond to client inquiries or internal communications.
- Complete shift reports and log all significant activities.
- Ensure all security equipment and systems are functioning properly.
- Attend meetings with management, clients, and police to discuss security-related issues when applicable.
Patrol & Compliance:
- Perform periodic patrols of client properties to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Identify potential security risks and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensure security officers are adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Minimum of two years of security and supervisory experience; prior experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
- For driving positions: A valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience and a clean driving record.
- Active valid State of Florida D License.
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, good judgment, and the ability to maintain professionalism in all situations.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work any shift as required.
- Compliance with state/local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including cold, rain, or heat.
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as necessary during shifts.
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for prolonged periods.
