• Provide customer service to clients, faculty, staff, students, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures and site‑specific policies in an educational environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving skills, following established protocols for educational locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, common areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure atmosphere.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security‑related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits and verifying credentials as needed.
• Support emergency response activities, including guiding occupants during evacuations and/or lockdowns as directed by site procedures.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, patrols, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Collaborate with on‑site staff, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as necessary to address security‑related concerns.

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
