You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This role calls for professionalism, sound judgment, and integrity while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and people-focused.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at public transportation facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicle access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and/or damaged property, and complete required incident documentation.
• Maintain a professional presence while following applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies for armed security-related duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a Guard Card or license, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
