Variable shifts, typically 7 am–4 pm for days and 9 pm–6 am for nights with proper notice of upcoming shift changes based on projects. Exact hours may vary based on project needs. Travel required within FL and (hotel accommodations and per diem provided).
Compensation$25.00 – $32.00 (based on experience)
Responsibilities- Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance in accordance with local codes, industry standards, and blueprints.
- Collaborate and effectively communicate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and team members to determine project requirements, timelines, and ensure efficient workflow.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, architectural, mechanical, and other trade‑specific drawings to ensure seamless coordination across disciplines.
- Install and connect electrical wiring, conduit, fittings, switches, outlets, and various electrical components.
- Test electrical systems and circuits to ensure proper functioning, compliance with safety standards, and identify any issues.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and execute necessary repairs or replacements to restore functionality.
- Adhere to safety guidelines, including implementing Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, to ensure a secure and hazard‑free work environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Work variable shifts to meet the specific scheduling needs of our clients (proper rest and notice will be given before any shift change).
- Travel to various locations within Central Florida and across the state as required.
- Stay out of town when the project location requires.
- 3+ years of experience in commercial electrical installation or service.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and commercial electrical systems.
- Proven experience as a Commercial Electrical Installer.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and diagrams. Ability to travel throughout Florida and adapt to variable work hours and project timelines. Experience running conduit, pulling wire, installing panels, and wiring lighting and control systems.
- Ability to use hand and power tools commonly employed in electrical installations.
- Ability to work on Scissor and Boom lifts.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Florida driver’s license and a clean driving record. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts as needed.
