THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Security Technician to provide installation and maintenance capabilities. This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure our customers’ systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing projects.

Customer and employee interface require a high degree of effective human relations. Communication skills, both verbal and written, are important elements of the position.

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Security Technician to provide installation and maintenance capabilities. This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure our customers’ systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing projects.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (and doing well!)

• Responsible for installing and maintaining ACS, IDS and CCTV systems.
• Responsible for delivering projects on schedule and within cost budgets.
• Oversight for project inventory and responsible for vehicle inventory.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Provide support, guidance, and expertise to the other technicians.
• Customer-focused, skilled in project and people management.
• Ability to manage job scheduling and job progress in an efficient and cost-effective manner, with a strong focus on quality.
• Proficient in issue resolution.
• Excellent organizational, decision making and communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.

What We Like About You

• At least three (3) years of experience in security/CCTV installations
• Knowledge of installation and maintenance of Access Control systems, including the following brands: AMAG, Apollo, DSX, Genetec, Keyscan, Lenel, Software House, S2 Security, Identi-card, Kantech, Honeywell, Open Options, Paxton.
• Knowledge of installation and maintenance of the following intrusion systems:
  Honeywell, DMP, DSC, Interlogix, Bosch.
• Knowledge of the following CCTV systems and VMS platforms:
  American Dynamics, Axis, Avigilon, Bosch, Exaqvision, Genetec, March Networks, Milestone, ONSSI, Salient, Wisenet.
• Knowledge of basic structured cabling installation
• Knowledge of installation of electronic locks and hardware, (i.e., electric strike, magnetic lock, mortise lock, panic bar, latch retraction).
• Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to read system design drawings, plans, and specifications.
• FASA/BASA certification.
• Lenel or Software House Certification preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Able to work independently.
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude and good communication skills.
