The FDDC Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the operational functions of the Family Dependency Drug Court program. This role ensures smooth daily interactions among staff, the judicial/criminal justice system, healthcare providers, program participants, and the public. The Coordinator will also assist with the implementation of new programs as needed. Periodic travel throughout Orange and Osceola Counties is expected. Candidates must maintain reliable transportation.

The operational functions for this position consist of daily interactions with the staff, judicial/criminal justice system, healthcare system, program participants and the general public. This position is responsible for the supervision of case management functions, assessments, court hearings and direct observation drug testing. There is a strong emphasis on leadership qualities, analytical skills, planning, and organization. Strong computer skills are required.

This position requires the ability to maintain confidentiality and to act with tact, courtesy, integrity and good judgment.

The ideal applicant will have solid foundation of case management techniques, an understanding of evidence-based practices for substance abuse and mental health treatment (including trauma-informed therapy), familiarity with community resources and how to access them for justice-involved individuals and families and strong leadership, analytical, and organizational skills.

A Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related field is required along with a minimum of 3 years in the juvenile justice and/or substance abuse field of which one year must be in a supervisory position. A master’s degree may substitute for the required experience.
