Position: Guest Service Professional
Reports To: Manager of Guest Services
Status: Part-Time Hourly – Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $14.00/hr - $14.00/hr
OverviewUnder the direct supervision of the Shift Supervisor and the general guidance of the Guest Services Supervisor, the Guest Support Professional will be responsible to assist Coalition Guests, Staff, Visitors, and Volunteers in various capacities while promoting the safety of guests, staff, volunteers, visitors, and community members. The position requires a high degree of professionalism, commitment, and adaptability to uphold Coalition Values and maintain an environment of dignity, respect, and cooperation.
Key Responsibilities- Provide services for guest needs by offering hygiene items, clothing, and cleaning supplies.
- Assist with receiving donations, retrieving property, and aiding in meal service times.
- Provide assistance and information to visitors, volunteers, and donors.
- Report safety, security, and facility concerns to appropriate staff and document if warranted.
- Conduct regular rounds as assigned and maintain radio communications while on duty.
- Perform routine room and locker checks.
- Maintain cleanliness of bed areas/rooms for new intakes.
- Complete guest belongings logs.
- Address crisis situations if needed and contact appropriate support such as staff, emergency medical services, or law enforcement.
- Submit accurate written documentation as per agency policy in a timely fashion.
- Communicate with guests and other staff on an ongoing basis.
- Coordinate with guests to accomplish special projects, chores, and facility upkeep.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete assignments and housekeeping duties daily as instructed by immediate supervisor.
- Move property and donations up to 30 lbs. as outlined by agency policy.
- Monitor assigned area as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Conduct after-hours intake for CERS VETS program if needed outside of regular intake hours.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
- Perform job duties in assigned areas as directed by immediate supervisor.
- Perform other duties as directed by immediate supervisor.
