Do you have a passion to help those who are in need in a special and unique way? Enjoy meeting clients where they are at while exploring the outdoors? If you have the yearning to truly make a difference as a Case Manager, then this position may be the perfect fit for you. We at SALT have an unwavering commitment to provide quality outreach services to unsheltered individuals.
This part-time position will require exploring various locations in the Sanford area to identify and engage the unsheltered and link them to services in the community.
SALT Outreach Inc. operates a mobile drop‑in center for people experiencing homelessness. Currently, SALT operates five days a week in downtown Orlando, serving up to 200 people per day with 12 different services which includes case management and mental health counseling. Our mission is to share Christ's love by serving the unsheltered through comprehensive mobile drop‑in centers. Our vision is that every metropolitan area in the US has a comprehensive drop‑in center for people experiencing homelessness.
SALT has seen rapid growth over the past few years and has a team of 47 people. We are looking to expand our team with people who have hearts for our friends experiencing homelessness.
Travel would be required 3 days per week for up to 4 hours per day on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The Field/Street Outreach Case Manager will explore camps, wooded areas, parks, abandoned buildings or other places in the Sanford area where the unsheltered may frequent in hopes of connecting them to services. Effective street outreach reaches people who might not otherwise seek assistance or come to the attention of the homelessness service system.
Thursdays are flex days in which you would conduct follow‑up appointments, take clients to their own appointments, and/or search for resources within Seminole County within a desk space at our main location in Orlando, Florida.
