Contract Position
Pay Estimated: $62.58-$67.58/Hour
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and integrate embedded software and hardware systems in support of mission-critical military training devices.
Contribute to the full product lifecycle, from concept through deployment, in a collaborative Agile environment.
Drive firmware development on real-time embedded processors using platforms such as SEGGER Embedded Studio.
Integrate and optimize solutions for Nordic and NXP So Cs , as well as Android-based environments.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring knowledge sharing and development best practices.
Apply and promote industry standards, technical methodologies, and innovative solutions to solve complex design challenges.
Partner with systems, hardware, and test engineering teams to ensure seamless integration across the platform.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline, with 8+ years of relevant experience
(or Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience)Strong proficiency in C and C++ for embedded systems
Deep experience in real-time firmware development and embedded SDKs
Familiarity with SEGGER Embedded Studio or similar development environments
Experience with Nordic Semiconductor and NXP System-on-Chips (SoCs)
Android development experience is a plus
Prior experience leading or mentoring engineering teams
Agile development experience preferred
